As someone who’s been riding and racing bikes my entire adulthood and who has been working in the cycling law space for my legal career, I can say with abundant firsthand knowledge that bikes save us. over and over again they save us. I’ve experienced it myself and have witnessed it hundreds of times- from physical and mental health to community connections to reducing the daily reliance on the car … bikes save us. They connect us to each other and to nature. They are the salve for a hurting heart or a gut full of pent up emotion or anger. The bike makes us better each time we ride it. For me- it’s my life’s longest love affair and that’s why every day is committed to making cycling safer and also to getting more people on bikes.
